What's Happening in Star - March 2024

 Grown-up Egg Hunt in Star, Idaho!  Some egg-cellent businesses have volunteered their location for this venture. Please take a moment to read all the rules before you participate and good luck! Oh did we forget to mention that there will be a prize?!? Once you have found all 10 eggs, you will bring the pictures or written description to the Star Library. Once confirmed that you have found all 10 eggs, you will be given an egg buck with a number on it. At the end of the month, March 23rd 2024, the winner will  announce by picking a number out of a hat…not just any hat, But Ernest’s famous hat! Which of course he will go live on Facebook to show all that it was an honest picking.  The winner will receive a basket filled with amazing goodies, like gift cards and products that have been donated by amazing businesses in Star! 

Anyone over the age of 21 yrs can  participate in the grown-up egg hunt. The businesses that are hiding a wooden egg are listed in Star Spirit Magazine. Find a a magazine, visit the businesses listed and take a picture of the egg displayed. Once you have found all 10 eggs, you will bring the pictures or written description to library to confirm that you found all the hidden eggs.

You will find all 10 businesses listed in Star Spirit Magazine, which are located in a various businesses in Star, Idaho.

•  You must 21+ yrs to participate
• One egg will be displayed to view without moving or climbing, so that you may take the picture without disturbing the operations of business.
• Once you have discovered the egg, you will need to take a picture or write down a description of where the egg is located. Remember to take note of the location for each, so you may want to take a picture of the store front before you enter, then the egg.
• Some businesses have set hours, while others have appointments, so you may find that you will need to come back when their office is available. Please do not call the business to see when you can stop by.
• When you enter the business, please explain that you are searching for the egg.
• Before you leave the business, we ask that you consider learning something about the business or possible support them with a small purchase (not required, just a kind suggestion)
• Lastly, thank them for participating as this is something that they have volunteered to do in hopes of getting to know the community better and vice versa.
